vacation teaser…

Just returned from a fabulous trip to Australia and New Zealand. Have lots of photos to go through, but here’s a teaser of things to come. Not all will be posted here, but I’ll blog when they can be viewed on my Smugmug site. 🙂

Met lots of interesting people from around the world (but mostly locals). Also met a couple from White Bear Lake, MN in the airport in New Zealand, and they basically followed us home. We ran into them at every airport and customs/immigration line, and baggage claim all the way back to MSP. Kinda cool. Nothing like meeting someone who basically lives in your back yard. Or so it seems when you’re travelling on the other side of the world!

(Yes I did eat kangaroo. Sort of like a cross between beef and venison. Almost no fat. Less “gamey” tasting than venison. The meal that was prepared for us was super delicious!)

Hey Barb: these photos look better here than on flickr. I remember the boat one and how I thought the orange life saver distracted me, but when I see the photo here, I love it! I love how you framed the mountain via the lines of the boat. Very creative shot. The colors of the steamboat shot are so pretty and the I love the reflection on the water.
