…Spring is finally here!

OK, I admit it. I’ve been very lazy in posting anything new. But these photos are fresh out of the camera today. These trees in the back yard are just starting to bud. And a beautiful blue sky for a wonderful background. I added a bit of a glow to the image, as I felt it needed a little something to make it stand out. You can view a larger image here.

I was outside taking pictures for a photo challenge to capture five images that represent “Senses”. Given that it’s allergy season, I just had to get a shot of some fresh grass popping up.

Although this image is what I wanted to create when I went out today, in fact I thought my first couple shots would turn out to be trash. I noticed after the fact that my lens was still on manual focus. Since I was just resting the camera on the ground and shooting “blindly”, I quickly changed to autofocus. But this was the first shot out of the camera! Remember, don’t delete those shots in-camera unless you forgot to take your lens cap off and it’s nothing but black. (Of course I’ve never done that. Please note the huge amount of sarcasm!) So just wait on deleting those shots, ’cause that image might surprise you when it’s viewed more true to size on your monitor!

(And you may have noticed if you clicked on either of these photos that you were brought to a new photo site. This is just a preview for you select readers. I have many photos to add, old and new. Please maximize your browser window for largest image. I’ll send an email to everyone when the site is “officially” ready.)

The grass shot would work wonders for a lawn care outfit. The trees in bud would be great with the progression to summer, fall and winter. The same shot, different seasons. But then that is probably your plan. Nice,to bad sometimes we don’t take time to see the “buds” sometimes before the flowers(leaves).
