fresh flickr friday…

I know I keep picking photos that I like for this post. I’ll try next time to post something that I don’t like.

This was taken a few weeks ago. (Sorry for nothing fresher for FFF.) I think the photo would be less interesting without the dead branches which “appear” to be supporting the trunk.

REVISED 8.28.10: My mom made a good point…the brightly sunlit greens were too yellow. Here is a revised photo. It will be easier to compare them in Flickr…just click on the photo and it will take you there.

About Barb Kellogg

I'm a people, pet and nature photographer who loves great bokeh, dark chocolate, and a good cup of tea.

Trees are fascinating. Strong trunks, delicate leaves, outstanding color, long lived.
They are mainly deep rooted, stand tall, and can withstand much. Branches sway, leaves rustle. Sometimes things happen, and trees show a brokenness. Not unlike us. Yet though there is brokenness, the tree has live, vibrant parts and continue to live and move through seasons like a constant companion. They never give up. I admire that about trees.
