My kids are participating (with their school) in the Pinwheels for Peace project for International Day of Peace – Sept 21. I thought it a cool thing for them to do and look forward to seeing all the pinwheels on the hill. pinwheelsforpeace.com

I once heard and I wish I could remember who said it, but the message was:
“The best way to attain world peace is for everyone to be who they were created to be.”
    I thought it was profound.

So fitting to have the PEACE symbol on September 11th. This symbol started as the “sign” of nuclear disarmament and then really came to the forfront in the late 60’s as a “sign” of anti-war protesters. I lived through all, and still find PEACE very elusive. Perhaps the answer is to act peaceful instead of wearing signs?
