The lake today…

Finally a beautiful day!! Fall is here (which means “you know what” will follow…hint…brrrr). Took many photographs out in the kayak (I’m working on them, but other duties call), but here’s two that I wanted to get done first. Floating in the same location, only difference is the focal point. My goal in post processing was to get a little bit of that warm dreamy feeling of Fall.

I’ve posted other shots over on my Flickr page. If you haven’t visited there lately, you’ll see a few new items (most recently from the Como Zoo from last weekend).

Sorry for the short posts as of late, but have some studying to do, and I figure a little procrastination is allowed. 🙂

My preference is for the top photo but they would be nice framed up as a diptych too. Looking forward to seeing yr kayaking photos.

Ar first glance, I was really drawn to the first photo, with the green reeds in focus and the muted fall colors in the background…then I would view the second photo and liked the focus on the fall colors…then I went back and forth and found myself liking both of them! 🙂 The water glistening in between is awesome. That bright, colored background is a favorite of mine this time of year, whether it be a tree, grasses, fields, etc. I’ve noticed more trees with orange tops, yellow middles, and green bottoms. Really pretty. Thanks for the moment to view something beautiful at the lake.

I like the top photo. I have the feeling I’m sitting in a duck blind. Very nice color and cover.
