lighter look…

f/27, 1/45s, 100mm

…the look of a flick of light got a little update tonight. Since we’re heading towards winter, when our daylight hours dwindle, I figured it would be nice to brighten the site a bit. It’s still a bit of a work in progress. I got started on it a bit too late to finish.

I did want to get another new photo posted for you. This is also from a week ago, taken while kayaking on the lake. Every now and then I like to try the “Monet look” when taking pictures. Generally, just set your aperture to around f/22 to slow the shutter speed down a bit. Then, move the camera while pressing the shutter. This is truly trial and error. With emphasis on error! The only processing on this image was to improve the contrast and give this a 2:1 crop (there was just too much lake and it didn’t look right to me).

The colors are nice but I’m afraid a motion sickness medication would be needed if I looked at it for any length of time.
