Photo Challenge

I See Red

I photography group that I belong to is back at it again after being on hiatus for a couple of years. I haven’t been participating in all the challenges, but I try to when I can. I enjoy participating because it gives me a chance to try new ideas without any pressure. Sometimes the ideas are good. And sometimes, they aren’t.

The challenges are always open to whatever interpretation we want to create from the theme presented. So sometimes the photos from the group can be really varied. It’s always fun to see what other people come up with. If anyone is interested in checking out the group, here’s the link: . Unlike a lot of photography groups out there, this one is full of super nice people, all of varying degrees of skill, and from all over the world. I know some photography groups get really snippy and mean. If you ask for a critique, you’ll get one, but I’ve never found them to be rude.

The latest challenge is called Red. I intentionally didn’t focus, as I wanted the viewer to notice the color red more than the leaves. The two other images are on my Flickr page.

Self Portrait

And a few weeks ago the challenge was Self Portrait. Again I tried to be creative and do more than just a regular photograph of myself.  So this time I did three in-camera images that  combined into one. Since we’re supposed to create three images for the challenge, I thought that also fulfilled that criteria, too. Lazy or creative, I’ll let you be the judge. 🙂

That’s it for today folks!
